Online Training for Adults in Belgium Strengthens Well-being and Community Engagement

On 24 June 2026, adults living in Belgium took part in an online training organised by Projects for Europe (PFE Belgium), partner of the Erasmus+ project Happiness in Practice – Positive Psychology and Community Resilience.

The session was designed to provide participants with a collaborative space to reflect on emotional well-being, resilience, positive psychology, community engagement and social inclusion. Through interactive discussions and shared experiences, participants explored practical ways to promote well-being in everyday life while strengthening meaningful relationships and active participation within their communities.

A key part of the training was the presentation of the Happiness in Practice Community of Practice, an open European network that brings together individuals interested in positive psychology, lifelong learning and community resilience. Participants discovered how the Community of Practice offers opportunities for peer learning, exchange of experiences and international collaboration beyond the project's activities.

Throughout the session, participants reflected on how well-being and resilience can be cultivated through simple daily practices, mutual support and active community involvement. The exchange of personal experiences and practical ideas generated inspiring discussions and encouraged participants to consider new approaches that they can apply within their own local contexts.

The event also contributed to expanding the Happiness in Practice Community of Practice, with Projects for Europe (PFE Belgium) actively promoting the network and welcoming new members interested in continuing the dialogue beyond the training session. New connections were established among participants who share a common commitment to community development, social inclusion and positive social change, laying the foundations for future collaboration at both local and European levels.

We would like to thank everyone who participated for their enthusiasm, openness and valuable contributions. Their active involvement made the session a meaningful learning experience and reinforced the importance of creating spaces where people can connect, learn from one another and work together towards healthier and more resilient communities.

As the Happiness in Practice project reaches its final stage, initiatives such as this continue to demonstrate that promoting well-being is not only about individual growth, but also about building stronger, more connected and more inclusive communities across Europe.
